1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Ancient Roots (the "Services") provided by Ancient Roots Media ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.
2. Description of Services
Ancient Roots provides audio content including binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies, and ambient soundscapes designed for relaxation, meditation, focus, and general wellness purposes. Our content is created by music professionals and reviewed by our advisory team.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using our Services, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Access to premium content requires a paid subscription. We offer monthly and annual subscription options. Additional plans, including lifetime access, may be available by invitation or promotion. Current pricing is available at ancientroots.app.
Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial. During the trial, you have full access to all premium content. To avoid being charged, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. After the trial period, your selected subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
Auto-Renewal
IMPORTANT - AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price. Lifetime access, when granted, does not renew.
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Through your account settings at ancientroots.app
- By emailing support@ancientroots.app
Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium content until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds
- Annual (and Lifetime, if applicable): Full refund available within 14 days of purchase if you are not satisfied for any reason.
- Monthly: Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of charge. We generally do not provide refunds for partial months.
- Free Trial: No charge occurs during the trial period, so no refund is applicable if you cancel before the trial ends.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods supported by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card information on our servers.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. If we increase prices, we will notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Price changes will apply to your next billing cycle after the effective date.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Copy, distribute, or publicly perform our audio content without authorization
- Circumvent any access controls or copy-protection measures
- Use automated systems to access or download content
- Share account credentials with others
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of our Services—including audio tracks, graphics, logos, and software—are owned by Ancient Roots Media or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and listen to our content for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Health & Wellness Disclaimer
ANCIENT ROOTS IS NOT A MEDICAL PRODUCT OR DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE OR SERVICES. OUR SERVICES ARE INTENDED FOR GENERAL WELLNESS PURPOSES ONLY AND ARE NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, MITIGATE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE OR HEALTH CONDITION.
Any information presented in the app or on our website does not constitute a medical claim and is not meant as a substitute for or alternative to information from healthcare professionals. If you have any health concerns or medical conditions, are taking medication, or have questions about your health, consult a qualified healthcare provider before using our Services.
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OUR SERVICES HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED BY FDA-APPROVED STUDIES. THE OUTCOMES FROM USING OUR SERVICES CAN DIFFER FROM PERSON TO PERSON.

Audio Safety Guidelines
For your safety, please observe the following when using our Services:
- Do not listen while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation requiring alertness
- Medical conditions: If you have epilepsy, seizure disorders, a pacemaker, or any heart condition, consult your physician before use
- Headphones: Binaural beats require stereo headphones to work properly
- Volume: Start at a low volume and adjust gradually to a comfortable level
- Adverse effects: If you experience dizziness, nausea, headaches, or any discomfort, stop listening immediately
- Minors: Users under 18 should use only with parental supervision
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANCIENT ROOTS MEDIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ancient Roots Media, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
Pre-Arbitration Resolution
Before initiating arbitration, you must first contact us at support@ancientroots.app with: (1) your name, (2) your account email, (3) a written description of your dispute, and (4) the resolution you seek. We will attempt to resolve your dispute within 45 days. If we cannot resolve it within that time, either party may proceed to arbitration.
Binding Arbitration
Any dispute not resolved through the process above shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, or may be conducted remotely by mutual agreement.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Ancient Roots Media.
Small Claims Exception
Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court if the dispute qualifies.
Opt-Out Right
You may opt out of this arbitration provision by emailing legal@ancientroots.app within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Your email must include the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" along with your name and account email. Opting out will not affect your access to our Services.
Severability
If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration provision shall be void, and disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
